BIO:
Robin Nielsen trained in Los Angeles at “Playhouse West”, sister school to the famed “Neighborhood Playhouse” in New York and was a long time student of Matthew Harrison’s at The Actor's Foundry. He has since applied his acting on stage and film in Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver with film credits that include Rise of the Apes, King of Fighters, Stan Helsing, Riding the Bullet, Mr. Magoo, Helen and starring in The Movie Out Here. His television credits include: Fringe, Riese, Reaper, The L Word, Psych, Robson Arms and The Dead Zone – and can be seen in the PSYCH web series "The S#CIAL SECTOR", as well as "Om Sweet Om", “Rise ‘n’ Shine Og” and as part of the all-star cast of the Syfy hit "Riese: Kingdom Falling". Local stage credits include the critically acclaimed Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, The Good Doctor and The Ives of March.
He currently teaches acting in The Practical Set Workout and taught at The Actor's Foundry for five years. He also serves as a reader for many of Vancouver's casting directors and works with Vancouver Film School and Capilano University to teach directing stream students how to work with actors. He is well known as a warm, kind coach who has a knack for seeing the psychology behind actors blocks and knows exactly how to help them push through with dramatic results.
